A Beautiful Home The Lord God planted a wonderful garden in Eden. In this garden grew all kinds of trees that were pleasant to look at and good for food. Sparkling crystal rivers flowed through the garden to water every plant and tree. It was the happiest, most peaceful home on earth. Tending the Garden God put Adam in the Garden of Eden to work it and care for it. Adam named the animals and walked in fellowship with God. God gave Adam and Eve freedom to eat from every delicious tree in the garden. God's Loving Boundary God gave one loving rule to protect them: "You may freely eat from every tree of the garden, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it, you will certainly die." God gave this rule to protect his children, just like parents give rules to keep us safe. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.
