  • Stop 1: Nazareth (Luke 1:26-38)

    In Nazareth of Galilee, the angel Gabriel appears to Mary announcing the birth of the Messiah.

  • Stop 2: Ein Karem (Luke 1:39-56)

    Mary journeys with haste to visit Elizabeth; Elizabeth is filled with the Holy Spirit and Mary proclaims the Magnificat.

  • Stop 3: Bethlehem (Luke 2:1-7)

    Joseph and Mary travel to Bethlehem for the Roman census, where Jesus is born and laid in a manger.

  • Stop 4: Jerusalem (Luke 2:22-38)

    The child Jesus is brought to the Temple in Jerusalem where Simeon and Anna praise God for the Consolation of Israel.

  • Stop 5: Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15)

    Warned by an angel in a dream of Herod’s murderous intent, Joseph flees by night with Mary and the young child into Egypt.

  • Stop 6: Nazareth (Matthew 2:19-23; Luke 2:39-40)

    After the death of Herod the Great, the holy family returns safely to settle in Nazareth, where the child grows strong in spirit.
